Heh, I know the bigger animals aren't found in the urban areas, but small monitor lizards like that? And what about spiders and stuff? Oh, Australia is spiders galore. They're everywhere, especially now that it's summer. There are usually a lot of insects around, and some smaller lizzards but there's no way you'd find something as large as that monitor lizzard in the suburbs (maybe in the outer city suburbs). By the way, that lizzard in the photo isn't real! I'm suprised people thought it was. I'm not sure if it's safe to touch something like that.

Of course it is! Here's my brother with a big ass chameleon in Lebanon: That not that big. It's as large as his hand, while the one i posted could easily bite a few of my fingers off with ease (if it were real)!

Look at the mouth of the monitor lizard, it's small, the body is big, but you can't bite with your body! Unless you're The Thing, of course... Here's a snake he killed with some kids. That's big!

He killed a snake! Why? I like snakes! There's a very cool albino snake at the zoo. Are there snakes like that in suburbs in Lebanon? But no, the monitor lizards mouth is actually quite large. It's mouth goes all the way past its eyes are, like this: The one in my photo is much larger, and from another photo i have, it's about as large as the distance between my jaw and the tip of my nose, so it's pretty big!

Heard of megalainia? Now that's a big monitor lizard! And it was from Australia. Ahh... A nature board could be cool... On the snake, well, it was in a residential area, poisonous, so it had to be whacked...
