Pros and cons for Berter being made a mod? We'll let the people on this forum make a case, for or against, and then we'll create a poll where others can vote anonymously. Maybe allow the poll to run for five days.
I didn't answer earlier because I wasn't sure how to approach it. If someone has a better way to go about it then feel free to say so.

I don't see how/why Berter should do any harm. We know him, don't we?

No. These berbers can't be trusted. Last time I remember they came here invited and stayed for centuries, he will do the same to the mod.
Ehe, j/k of course. Ewig is nice chap, and has mod material written all over him.
As for the elections bit, the idealistic part of me (be warned, it's of the collectivist kind) loves the idea. The absolutist part of me like enlightened dictatorships. All politics aside I've been for year involved in group projects with people from all over the world (Free Software programming) and I saw both work out rather well, and both fail.

For the time being I'm pretty sure that decisions will be extremely easy. PS: The size of the avatar cramps by 16th century book cover knight. I know that nobody can change that but decided to bitch nonethelese
