www.prisonplanet.com/articles/february2007/030207Bombings.htmClick into this link to listen to a man who was actually on one of the buses that were allegedly blown up by Muslim suicide bombers. (Fascinating eye-witness testimony of planted "victims" who weren't even on the bus showing up 60 seconds after the blast, and covered in fake bandages for the cameras.)

I'm concerned about the direction the U.K. is taking. They are somewhere between a police state and a surveillance state. I've seen many news items that indicate that they're headed towards the former. The latest was a poll that showed that many British citizens were willing to disregard cherished civil liberties in exchange for more security against alleged terrorists.

The same in America, Jack. The Patriot Act is a disgrace. Even the name suggests it's a refuge for scoundrels. There is an incredible amount of fear in the US. Look at that reaction in Boston to that Adult Swim publicity stunt. Who did they think they were up against, the Riddler? lol

Probably more like J..they freaked out and over-reacted but ordering in the Hazmat team to clean up was a great move though.

Look at that reaction in Boston to that Adult Swim publicity stunt. Who did they think they were up against, the Riddler? lol They have a ready excuse to lessen the freedoms of Americans. They would concentrate more on the borders if they were so concerned about safety and security. BTW, the UK will now prosecute parents if their kids are too fat. Social workers will check the kids, and I wish that I was kidding.

Well being overweight so young is not healthy. Parents need to be more responsible and to better safe guard their children, cause diseases come with being overweight. Same thing with being underweight too.

Well some where along the line, somebody has to put their foot down. Irresponsible parents clearly arent working. Its the kids health first and foremost and our civilization future and safety. A army of fatsos wont cut it either.

The U.K. is a lost cause.

The U.K. is a lost cause. Exactly. Why should we believe that people who work for the state will be better at taking care of our children? Why would a stranger care as much as a family member for a particular child? They won't. To them it's just another kid. There is no emotional bond there. That some parents are not good parents isn't reason enough to have the state come knocking on the door. Only in severe cases, such as physical abuse (and i don't mean spankings), would there be any legitimacy for the state to step in and play a role in the child's life. Hell, the state already plays a role in a child's life, actually, with regards to the public school system. Look how well that's working out. Everything the state and their employees touch turns to shit.
