What does "Negritic race" refer to?

The racial enthusiast in me immediately zoned in on that word, as well, Funk. It's likely just a reference to the minor, quite mixed "Veddoid" element of the Persian Gulf littoral. Coon brought these ambiguous, protomorphic types up in his "Veddoids, Gypsies, and Persian Gulf darkies" chapter of ROE or something. lol

Negritic is probably not a good name in any case. Reminds too much of Negritos.
