Anyone ever observe the wide mouths of the Mediterranean-Jewish type? It's a recurring theme in so many of the specimens one encounters.

* Could the effect be produced by rhinoplasty? When the size of the natural nose is minimized it leaves the mouth looking disproportionately long. Like this Israeli woman. Notice that all her features are proportionate. Now imagine if her nose were downsized. It would artificially make her mouth seem long:

Yep. The wide mouth with the toothy smile is a common characteristic of this type. There is an advantage, though. I'm sure they don't have the problem my husband has:
very small mouth not large enough to accommodate all the teeth. He had to have extractions done.

Look at the two pictures in the third row. What a difference in body shape! Haggard skinny vs. curvy teh sexy.

When taken by themselves she has rather attractive features, unfortunately they're out of proportion with each other which gives her face a disharmonious look. Actually I'd say her most off-putting feature is the space between the front teeth as can be seen in that second pic. Compared to some honkeys I've seen, I don't think this girl is hideous but she's certainly no Nigella Lawson (very milfy British Jew), that's for sure...

Yeah, but Nigella Lawson is only part-Jewish on her mother's side. Her dad's Anglo-Saxon aristocracy.

And, as for that mother, she wasn't fully-Jewish, either.

So, of course, Nigella's going to look vastly less Mediterranean than Amy Winehouse, who looks like she stepped right off a street in Syria.

* It's like writer/pundit Christopher Hitchens, who's mom is "Jewish". In fact--after he bragged about it--his brother did a genealogy and it was established that they were something like 1/52nd Jewish. I wouldn't doubt that "Jewish" Nigella Lawson isn't the same, lol. From what I read, she didn't start identifying as "Jewish" and playing it up until she married a Jewish fellow named Diamond. One critic of her wrote this: "Lawson is a Jewish mother, no less, although she's the kind of Jew who grew up eating ham for Christmas dinner."

Holding up Nigella Lawson as some sort of "Jew" is as silly as holding up Sir Peter Ustinov as a "negro" because his grandmother was half-Ethiopian. (In fact, the admixture is more recent in Ustinov than the Jewishness is in Ms. Lawson.) So it's hilarious to use her as some sort of representative for a type. Perhaps following this logic, the next time we have an Ethiopian thread someone can post Ustinov with a straight face and say "Yeah, but Ethiopians have pink skin and blue-eyes. See? Here's Ustinov." lol

Ancient jews varied quite a bit too,we shouldnt lose sight of that,so I honestly cant buy they all had to look a certain way either.

Jews in Europe just mixed,so thats very shaky territory.

Winehouse's large teeth makes her mouth protrude and looks like she has marbles in her mouth..

Exactly, that's what I found funny, she's right up there with Oded Fehr and eh... I can't think of so many famous European Jews who look really Middle Eastern.

I agree, though. Very Jewey. Perhaps the only "atypical" features are the depigmented eyes (at least I think they are... hard to tell... maybe they're just light brown). But we all know what the real story is on that.
