Nothing wrong with liking Disco, it was made to be catchy. Disco bass-lines are the best ever!

Yes, I like funk music, too, especially for the bass line, where it often gets the melody instead of the guitars.
I just listened to Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" which must have the most famous bass line in history.

I just listened to Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" which must have the most famous bass line in history. It's a bad rip-off of Chic's Good Times, immortalised in Rapper's Delight by Sugar Hill Gang, check out the 15 minute disco mix. I like Jazz & reggae and most related things. My most recent acquisitions were a CD of Quincy Jones's Soul Bossa Nova LP from 1962 (I bought the original single at the time) and a triple compilation of North African dance music called Arab Cafe which is pretty funky, it has accordions & fiddles amongst other things only the occasional quarter tone gives away its origins.
